CALL TO ORDER:  Mayor Pro-Tem Elaine Tucker called the tentative budget hearing to order at 5:40 p.m. in Town Hall chambers.  She led the “Pledge of Allegiance” to the Flag.

          Commissioner Jerry McCallister :  present

Others in attendance:  Town Manager Tom Burns.

PURPOSE OF THE HEARING:  To present the second and final readings of the proposed millage rate and budget ordinances for fiscal year 2002-2003.

HEARING ITEMS:

1. BUDGET DISCUSSION – As discussed at the September 10, 2002 Town Commission Meeting, Town Manager Burns reiterated plans to make final line item changes to the current fiscal year budget prior to the close out of FY 2001-2003.  Authorization to make the changes was agreed upon.

2. SECOND PUBLIC READING OF ORDINANCE 2003-01 SETTING MILLAGE RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 – Mayor Pro-Tem Elaine Tucker presented the second reading of Ordinance 2003-01.  Commissioner Henderson moved to approve Ordinance 2003-01 as read.  The motion was seconded by Commissioner McCallister and it passed unanimously.

3. SECOND PUBLIC READING OF ORDINANCE 2003-02 ESTABLISHING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 – Mayor Pro-Tem Elaine Tucker presented the second reading of Ordinance 2003-02.  Commissioner Henderson moved to approve Ordinance 2003-02 as read.  The motion was seconded by Commissioner McCallister and it passed unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Henderson moved to adjourn at 5:51 p.m.   The motion was seconded by Commissioner McCallister and it passed unanimously.
