ORDINANCE NO. 99-01

AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE MILLAGE RATE TO
BE IMPOSED UPON TAXABLE NON-EXEMPT REAL
AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF SHALIMAR,
FLORIDA DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999.

Whereas, the Town of Shalimar has tentatively approved its Fiscal Year Budget for 1998-99: and

Whereas, the Property Appraiser for Okaloosa County, Florida, has certified 3.2 mills as an allowable millage rate for the calendar year 1998; and

Whereas, the Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-1999 can be funded with the amount of dollars the Millage Rate will raise.

That the millage rate to be imposed during the calendar year 1998 for taxable non-exempt real and personal property in the Town of Shalimar, Florida, be 3.2 dollars per thousand of appraised valuation.

That the current year proposed rate of 3.2 mills is 8.13% change of the rolled-back rate.

That this is a temporary ordinance and shall not be codified.

That the county Property Appraiser and the Tax Collector shall be notified accordingly.
